My oh My...It Has Been Such a Long Time

I've been so busy for so long but now I want to start making posts! Hurrah! Anyhow, here are some pictures of a few of the projects I worked on While I was away.

In other news I have gotten permission from the Author of Sew What! Bags , Lexie Barnes to use the patterns in her book. Which can be found here on Amazon or here on her website.

Yarg!

Got the machine out on Sunday and altered a shirt that my brother in law and wife (J & J) got for me on their trip to Disneyland. It began as a men's shirt and ended as a Steph shirt.

Re-visiting my Sewing Machine

So the other day I busted my dress form out of it's box and fitted a long tunic shirt. Here's the before.

The after is coming soon. Also, I turned a cheapo skirt into a fabulous apron.

Visit to St Joseph, MI

We went with my folks to St Joseph a few weeks ago. Hilarity ensued, silly pictures were taken, and fun was had by all.

It's a dog in a monster suit!

Science and Industry

These are taken from our misadventures at the Museum of Science and Industry.
This is the outside of the first manned space shuttle.

Is that a 10-pin? Yikes!

Here's the inside. What a piece of junk!

This Sunday! The Earth Vs the Sun! My vote goes on the Sun.

I think his does too.

My salute to Dairy farmer's everywhere.

"Christian! I have to do this! It's just so much FUN!"

One giant Tesla coil coming up.

Christian making his own smug sparks.

Really? For the faux tornado?

That's a big ... umm... piston.

Undercover Cinderella

I've seen all of these different types of crafts and I had to get in on it. I'm trying my hand at art journaling. This is my favorite page so far. I used a plastic store bag and some ink blu and green ink for the stamping and then went over it with the yllow in a light smearing motion. After that I made it a page of my own. I founda photo of a WWII refugee and kind of added the rest as an after thought. She really is an undercover beauty.

shoe Inserts?

Wow! That's really all I can say about these Dr Scholl inserts. They have the gel cushion in them, are made with silky feeling fabric, and fit into my shoes without giving me that squishy toe/foot feeling. Definately recommend these.

Photo Scavenger Hunt

I have an idea and a list to go along with that idea. I want to do a photo scvenger hunt! Huzzah! This is also because I'm enrolled in a sewing class and have work so there is little time for me to do any other posts. Here is my list thus far...

Photograph (people/ person):
1) On a swing set
2) With a dog
3) With a cow
4) In a strange section of a store
5) At a local landmark
6) With Someone in a uniform (any uniform)
7) Wearning a strange looking hat
8) In a bathroom
9) Viking funeral (for anyone or anything)
10)An adult in a child's or toddler's seat
11)A Pirate or someone dressed as a pirate

... You get the idea. What are your ideas? I plan on beginning my strange picture taking in the coming weeks. I may start with sitting on the bench with these statues near my work. They give me the wiggens.
