New Project

Here is the cute little kit I used.
Thi is the inside of the card.

This is the front of the card.

So I ended up giving away the neck wrap thingy that I made out of that silky material and the tan wool. The plus side is that I was able to get into another project. I found this cute little kit a local shop out here and was able to stitch up a greeting card for a friend of mine. Hooray!

I am making one for her friend's mom and another (much smaller version) one for this really cute little girl she watches all of the time. I promise that I'll put up ome pictures once they're all finished.

I've been looking through some of my older photos and have found some very fun stuff. Halloween space elf costuming and my tiny little shirts. Ooh, and one of the temple that is down the road from our house in Hawaii.

Ode to the scarf

Steff + Bathroom mirror + camera on cell phone = badly taken pictures :(

It is getting chilly outside in the mid-western area so I decided to whip up a scarf. I used the tutorial in Sheila Brennan's One - Piece Wearables. If you have a few buck to spare and are short on ideas this is one hell of a book. My pictures are not the greatest right now but at least you get to see what it looks like.

Pink With Butterflies Apron!!!

I just got through with another super cute apron for a friend of mine, but of course I had to try it on and take pictures first. Hopefully I can get some pictures of her using it to post on here later. I know the pictures are a bit crummy (camera - anyone else to hold it + mirror = crummy pictures) but we work with what we have on hand.

Quick Pictures of My Pup

So here's the thing. I'm far away from my dog right now and I miss him desperately. I like having him around to do all of those dog things that people just won't do (scratch their ears wth their feet, chew on their own hands, etc...). So Khan, this is for you.

Khan Dwarfing me by jumping for snacks.

Getting his studio photo taken for his upcoming movie. I'm not really one of those people, this just kinda fell on us.

The best litho pup pic I could take.

I went a little nuts for a friends birthday and made one of these nifty denim aprons. I liked making it so much I think I may make a pile of different aprons. I want to try my hand at the older, out of print, vintage ones. I love being domestic part-time.

Strange Looking Cake

So I made this cake last Monday for a friend's birthday. Although it looks a little strange she loved it. Which leads me to think this: Sometimes even though something may look weird, as long as it is edible (and possibly a little on the silly looking side), it really is the thought that counts. Either way the cake was yummy. I made a complete mess but everyone adored.
